The Oriental Ceramic Society of Hong Kong is delighted to announce a preview of Christie’s Hong Kong Autumn Auctions of Important Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art with Rosemary Scott and Pola Antebi who will guide members through this season’s sale highlights. Of particular note is the sale of a Kangxi period falangcai bowl, and a series of single-owner dedicated sales that include The Chang Wei-Hwa Collection of Archaic Jades – Part I – Neolithic Period and An Important Collection of Chinese Ceramics from A Private Collector.rnrnRosemary Scott is International Academic Director of Christie’s Asian Art Departments, and a former Curator of the Percival David Foundation in London, and the Burrell Collection in Glasgow. She is also a past President of the London Oriental Ceramic Society.rnrnPola Antebi joined Christie’s Hong Kong in 1990 and is the International Director of the Chinese Works of Art Department in Hong Kong. Her areas of expertise include Imperial ceramics, jades and works of art from the Yuan to the Qing periods. She is currently a member of the Hong Kong Management Committee.rnrnMembers are reminded that as the preview takes place before the public are admitted, this event is strictly limited to current members only. A limited number of places are available, and pre-registration is required. Drop-ins will not be entertained. Members are further reminded that photography is not ordinarily permitted.
