The OCS is delighted to announce a preview tour of Christie’s Hong Kong Autumn 2015 auctions with Rosemary Scott and Pola Antebi. This Autumn, Christie’s presents four sales in the Important Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art category notably The Linyushanren Collection of Song Ceramics, the most comprehensive private collection of Song ceramics ever to appear at auction. Following a series of exhibitions organised by Christie’s from 2012 to 2013, 36 exquisite pieces of ceramics from this distinguished collection will be offered in this auction. Among the other highlights are an extraordinary Qianlong-marked celadon-ground famille rose vase, superbly painted on four sides depicting flowers from the four seasons; and an extremely rare Xuande-marked blue and white dish reserve-decorated with a blossoming peony.
Rosemary Scott is International Academic Director of Christie’s Asian Art Departments, and a former Curator of the Percival David Foundation in London, and the Burrell Collection in Glasgow. She is also a past President of the London Oriental Ceramic Society.
Pola Antebi joined Christie’s Hong Kong in 1990 and is the International Director of the Chinese Works of Art Department in Hong Kong. Her areas of expertise include Imperial ceramics, jades and works of art from the Yuan to the Qing periods. Â She is currently a member of the Hong Kong Management Committee.
Due to the limited number of places for the auction preview, this event is open only to current OCS members.
