Special lunchtime guided exhibition viewing of The Weight of Lightness: Ink Art at M+
The OCS is delighted to invite members to a last chance guided exhibition viewing of M+’s first exhibition on the subject of ink art with its curator, Dr Lesley Ma. Featuring works by more than forty artists from across Asia and beyond, The Weight of Lightness: Ink Art at M+, is the museum’s first dedicated exhibition on the subject, highlighting the diverse explorations that have taken place within ink art since the 1960s. Through paintings, drawings, calligraphy, photographs, installations, and moving image works from the M+ collection, this exhibition explores how ink art is not merely a medium, but a crucial aesthetic in contemporary visual culture. The exhibition closes on 14 January 2018.
Before the guided exhibition viewing OCS Vice-President Tina Yee-wan Pang will give an overview of current developments at M+.
