Divine Power: The Dragon in Chinese Art

To mark the Chinese Year of the Dragon in 2012, this exhibition focused on the dragon motif in Chinese art. It was co-organised with the Art Museum, The Chinese University of Hong Kong as part of the Art Museum’s 40th anniversary celebrations. The catalogues was published in 2019.

The exhibition featured almost two hundred exhibits dating from the Neolithic period to the 20th century, including ceramics, bronzes, gold and silver wares, jade, glass, lacquer ware, paintings and textiles, etc. The exhibits were selected from the collections of the members of the Oriental Ceramic Society of Hong Kong, and local public and private collections including those of Cheng Xun Tang, Muwen Tang, Huaihaitang, Dr. S. Y. Yip, Chang Qing Guan, etc.
